Shires Housing
SASH Updates
SASH is a statewide program that provides resources to community members who are eligible for Medicare. The program is implemented locally by a regional affordable housing organization. Shires Housing is the “host” for this program in Bennington County and the Deerfield Valley, and our coordinators serve both our eligible residents and folks throughout the community. In our region, we have 5 “panels,” groups of participants that are served by one SASH Coordinator and one Wellness Nurse:
Northshire
SASH Coordinator: Sue
Wellness Nurse: Randi
This panel serves SASH participants in the Northshire towns of Sunderland, Arlington, Manchester, and Dorset.
Walloomsac Apartments

This panel serves SASH participants in several communities throughout Bennington and North Bennington. Specifically, our SASH Coordinator and Wellness Nurse provide support to residents of Bennington Housing Authority’s Walloomsac Apartments, in Shires Housing’s Cora B. Whitney Senior Housing, and in THM’s Homestead Mews and Homestead Greene Apartments.
