Woodland Station Housing

History

Woodland Station is a scattered site project that consists of 27 apartments split between Bennington (7 units) and Manchester (20 units). The buildings, which had formerly been named Manchester Knoll Apartments and Depot Street Apartments respectively, were grouped together through the renovation process to refurbish and refresh the units, ensuring long-term sustainability for our renters and for our maintenance team.

Location

The Manchester portion of this development is located on Torrey Knoll, just off of Richville Road. There are two Shires-owned communities located on this downtown Manchester road, with the four buildings in the front constituting the newly-renovated Woodland Station apartments and the four buildings towards the back constituting the Manchester Commons community.

The Bennington portion of this development is located in two buildings at 211-215 Depot Street. These buildings were built in the early 20th century and have been in Shires’ portfolio for over 20 years.

Availability

All Manchester units have been leased. We are still working to fill Bennington Depot Street units, which have designated “project-based vouchers” and will be filled with applicants from VSHA’s voucher waitlist, not Shires’ applicants.
